A turn at the rate of 3°/second. A full circle will be accomplished in two minutes. Some high performance/high altitude aircraft will use 1½°/sec for a standard rate turn due to g-loading.
If the vertical needle is aligned with either of the marks to the left or right of the center mark, the aircraft will be turning at standard rate.
