There was a movie of that title made in 1965 starring Ursula Andress in the eponymous role. In it is a scene in which she is trussed (naked, I might add) to some kind of fixture and slathered by attendants in paints or unguents in preparation for a pagan ritual of some sort. This photo is sort of reminiscent of that scene.
