Continuing a tradtion of rich choices in names, Jillian arrived on 11 April. Her first name had been selected several months before her arrival (and the diminuitive of which is already Jilli-bean). Lila is a family name on my side (my mother's older sister and our favorite aunt is Lyla), and Gail is Jon's mother's name. Nicole's birth story of Jillian is a moving tale in its own right and may eventually be reproduced here. Suffice to say, it was almost a home birth.
This is Jillian about three hours after birth.
And here's a picture of Jillian and Grandma a few minutes later. This is eerily reminiscent of Pic #2 in Jane's page.
Family of five! About 3:30 am or so. Jack and Jane came downstairs to meet their new sister like kids at Christmas. It was the most heartwarming thing I've ever seen.
Grandpa helping Jillian watch her very first Masters Sunday on the plasma above the fireplace. The vacant stare is from watching Tiger trying to make a putt.
